Melbourne based not-for-profit ACASE is set to launch its biggest program yet in 2020 with the announcement of the Asia Launch Program.

The Asia Launch Program is a pathway program designed to propel burgeoning Australian start-ups, scale-ups, and SMEs into the ever-growing Asian marketplace.

The program was officially announced on April 1st at the Online Signing Ceremony in Pukou, China at Nanjing’s Hi-Tech Zone. The ceremony was held in partnership with ACASE and the City of Melbourne.

Lord Mayor of Melbourne was present at the signing ceremony via satellite link, after having to postpone her visit due to COVID-19 travel restrictions.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for our scale-up innovators to go global,” Capp told the attendees.

During the ceremony nine start-ups signed a contract with Nanjing Pukou Hi Tech Zone as they prepare to launch their businesses globally.

The Asia Launch Program is the latest program from ACASE, who have presented many pathways for Australian businesses looking to launch their businesses into Asia with the ongoing support of City of Melbourne.

The Asia Launch Program will see ACASE assist businesses to set-up the practical elements required to launch in Asia, which at the offset can be an overwhelming challenge that prevents more businesses from tapping into the highly profitable Asian market.

The Asia Launch Program consists of four key parts: Business Case Service, Go-To Market Service, Business Set-Up Service and Business Growth Service.

ACASE also set up a joint venture – Nexus, with City of Melbourne and Nanjing Pukou High Tech Park to support Australian entrepreneurs to research, launch and expand into the Chinese market. The upcoming Nexus Fintech online pitch competition will be held on 15th Sep and the Applications will be closed on 6th September.
